The focus on the cycles each
From the overall interconnections of the rulers in a horoscope we can distil the underlying structure that is present in the horoscope. To this end, we set out the connections of the rulers in a separate drawing for each cycle. This may then reveal whether or not there is a specific focus.
Comparison of the Triangle- Cyli
The Fire Cycle
![]() |
In this Fire Cycle we do not see any interaction between the rulers of the 1st, 5th and 9th house here. There are, however, 2 connections from the 9th house to the Ascendant, through which one's own opinion can be expressed. |
Lacking the connections between de three houses a talent for leadership is not present here. With the relationship between ruler 1 and ruler 2 in 1, individual freedom (1) goes hand in hand with viability and reliability (2).
The Earth Cycle
![]() |
Also in the Earth cycle we do not find interactions between the rulers of the houses. However, the second ruler of house 2 is found in the 1st house, with which the capabilities (2) are fully invested in the actions. There is also a link from ruler 10 to |
the Ascendant. Assignments and regulations tie in well with the circumstances.
The Air Cycle
![]() |
In the cycle of the Air houses we see a lively interaction between the 3rd and 11th houses. Ruler 1 is also involved from the 3rd house. The ability to connect is clearly developed, whereby the general human (11) attitude in the conversation (3) is immediately noticeable. |
We also see in the encounter a lively interest (1 in 3) in people (
). A lasting relationship (7) in this cycle can not be detected here.
The Water Cycle
![]() |
In the Water Cycle we see interaction between the rulers of houses 4 and 8 (red) on the one hand and between 12 and 2 in 4 (blue) on the other. In the absence of the connection 8-12, the cycle hinges over 4. This field of experience thus |
occupies a key position in this cycle. The interactions express the ability to process (8) the experience (4) and also from the involvement (4) to let it go directly (12), to depersonalize and to sublimate it. So no real conversion from 8 to 12 takes place. However, in his profession, this is helpfull to connect from a professional attitude and to release himself from the complications. In this cycle we also see the position of ruler 5 in 8. This means that an authoritarian, untouchable attitude is also noticeable in this person.
Yield of the four Cycles
From the compilation of these four cycles, we see that with a strong occupation of the 3rd and 4th house in the radix, this last house contributes in a different context to the underlying structure of the horoscope as a whole. For the remainder of the interpretation, we must therefore maintain that especially the 3rd house plays a role in the structural contribution that the born can make, while the 4th house indicates something about the inner processes in the born one himself.

The Pioneer Cycle
![]() |
Ruler 1 always belongs structurally in this cycle. The position of ruler 1 in this cycle emphasizes the pioneering disposition in born. The other receptions (red arrows) are all present here . |
There are also many connections of the rulers with rulers in the houses (blue). All in all, we see a lot of activity and focused initiative (1 in 3) in this cycle.
The Cycle of the Maintainer - Sustainer
![]() |
We see few connections in this maintainer cycle. Ruler 6 and ruler 7 concern the same planet, which points more to a simultaneous occurrence, dependent on each other. This means rather a bond than an attunement of two independent faculties to each other. |
This means a limitation. As mentioned, the position of ruler 5 in 8 gives a tendency to stand-off behavior.
The Propagator and Spreader Cycle
![]() |
In this cycle, too, we find little interaction between the rulers of the houses. The only cohesion there is is through rulers 10 and 4. This cycle can contribute to structuring design (10) that is nourished by the experiences gained (4) and one's own personal conviction (9). |
Yield from the comparison of these three cycles
In the relationships between successive houses, something is also noticeable that is an extension of the findings in the triangular cycles. Because as can be seen at a glance above, we find in the pioneer cycle (1-2-3-4) much more mutual interaction than the cycles of the maintainer (5-6-7-8) and propagator (9- 11-10-12). This shows that this man is more suitable for work in a solo position than as a team or in propaganda or recruiting projects. Indeed, he always ended up in solo positions throughout his career, which he also liked. His employer also sent him out alone for exploratory and investigative work, in which he conducted exploratory discussions with all members of the organization involved. He often won trust in this. Within his own organization, he was referred to as a "loner" in his team, which also caused tensions. He himself attached to the comfortzone (4) within the familiar encompassing company.
The Crosses
From the rulers interconnections within the houses of the three crosses we can now see in which area the efforts of the born one efforts have yielded lasting results.
The cycle of the Angular Houses
![]() |
This cycle hinges over the 4th house. The relationship between the 4th and 10th houses crosses the center of the figure. The existing outflow to the Ascendant offers possibilities for expression. With ruler 7 in 4, the experience (4) and familiar |
relations (7 in 4) also provide a foundation for a structured (4-10) and well-organized contribution within an existing (4) situation.
The Cycle of the Succedent Houses
![]() |
In the cycle of the succedent houses, we see almost no crossings of the center of the figure in addition to the all-round red relationships. There is therefore no structural contribution from this. However, a productive (8) contribution can be made. |
In connection with the
Ascendant this is an important further specification of the nature of the effect of this sign. Moreover, the position of ruler 5 in 8, as already mentioned, also creates some detachment in the personal sphere.
The Cyclus of the Cadent Houses
![]() |
In this cycle, the two connections that cross the middle are active. This indicates innovative thinking. With several rulers plus the Moon and ruler 1 in the 3rd house, these connections get some importance here. |
The conversation (3) is conducted on the basis of the analysis (9) and is solution-oriented (12). The crossing over the centre provides a innovative contribution.
In this figure ruler 12 is the same as ruler 1. With this, his own behavior and actions, in addition to a solution, also evoke a personal isolation.
The 7th and 6th houses share the same ruler. Partnership and collegiality go hand in hand. Moreover, in this figure we see the position of ruler 4 in 9, which offers the person great opportunities for his personal growth and awareness. However, together with the position of ruler 9 in 4, a reception is created here, which in turn will also fit personal growth into a familiar (controlling) and safe (4) framework.
Proceeds from these Ruler Cycles
The sum of the interconnections of the rulers in the cycles show how the born person can make an objective contribution to his environment in several ways. As we will see, by this structure the profession (29.1) is supported and confirmed.
